Create Template

You need "System Administration" rights to be able to do this.

In most cases it is easier to copy an existing template and then adjust it. See Copy Template.

  1. Select Manage Templates using :

    • Ribbon Menu   File   Templates

  2. Select Add Template using :

    • Toolbar   Add

    • Context Menu   Add

  3. Enter Information in General tab :

    • IE Type :

      • Document

      • Graphic

      • File

      • MAP

    • "Description"

    • "Template path" (default document)

    • "Xslt Path Web" (PreView stylesheet)

    • "Generate Ids On Checkin"

    • "Use Special Editor"

    • "Is CMYK"

    • "Extension"

    • "Root Element"

    • "Original (base) Language"

    • "Schema"

    • "Update Xml Content"

    • "Special Editor Path"

    • "Use PNG format on preview, edit and print"

  4. Enter Information in Stylesheets tab :

    • Select stylesheets in the list or use Select All button.

  5. Enter Information in Xpaths tab : (only if document)

    • Select languages in the list or use Select All button.

  6. Enter Information in Validations tab : (only if graphic)

    • "CMYK Colour Mode"

    • "No Linked Items"

    • "No Text Items"

    • "Raster Items in Gray Scale"

    • "Path items in Gray or Spot Colour"

    • "Show Message if Unable to Set Image Number"

    • "Spot Colour Name"

  7. Enter Information in Xref in Xpaths tab : (only if document)

    • Select Add button

    • Enter Information :

      • "Id Xpath"

      • "Title Xpath"

    • Select OK button

    Repeat above steps for each extra Xpath needed.

  8. Enter Information in Graphic Formats tab (only if graphic)

    • Select Add button

    • Enter Information :

      • "Type"

      • "Is Checkout Format"

      • "Is Web Format"

      • "Is Print Format"

      • "Show Image No"

    • Select OK button

    Repeat above steps for each extra format needed.

  9. Select OK button
